چکیده

Background Differences in myocardial blood flow (MBF) between systole and diastole have been reported in healthy volunteers but the impact of cardiac phase on detecting coronary artery disease (CAD) is unknown [1]. This study aimed to compare MBF estimates from cardiovascular magnetic resonance (perfusion-CMR) imaging in systole and diastole in patients with suspected CAD and determine if either phase has greater diagnostic accuracy.

Tissue cardiovascular magnetic resonance demonstrates regional diastolic dysfunction in remote tissue early after inferior myocardial infarction.

PURPOSE To investigate regional diastolic and systolic function using tissue cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR), early after transmural myocardial infarction of the inferior wall due to single proximal right coronary artery disease. MATERIALS AND METHODS Velocity encoded CMR was used to measure early diastolic transmitral flow velocity (E), and regional, longitudinal, myocardial systolic...

Relationship between Late Gadolinium Enhancement Extent in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Severity of Coronary Artery Disease in Old Myocardial Infarction

Purpose: To assess the relationship between the severity of coronary arteries involvement and the extent and pattern of myocardial scars in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance of patients with history of remote myocardial infarction. Materials and Methods: The Cardiac Magnetic Resonance images of sixty patients with history of remote ST segment or non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction were ...

Quantitative three-dimensional cardiovascular magnetic resonance myocardial perfusion imaging in systole and diastole

BACKGROUND Two-dimensional (2D) perfusion cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) remains limited by a lack of complete myocardial coverage. Three-dimensional (3D) perfusion CMR addresses this limitation and has recently been shown to be clinically feasible. However, the feasibility and potential clinical utility of quantitative 3D perfusion measurements, as already shown with 2D-perfusion CMR ...

The Correlation between Left and Right Ventricular Ejection Fractions in Patients with Ischemic Heart Disease, Documented by Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Introduction: The correlation between right and left ventricular ejection fractions (RVEF and LVEF, respectively) has been studied in only a small number of patients with a marked decrease in RVEF and LVEF. The aim of the present study was to compare LVEF and RVEF in patients with ischemic heart disease. RVEF and LVEF were measured by Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR) imaging. Materials a...

The effect of eight weeks of cardiac rehabilitation on hemodynamic parameters and blood lipid profile in male patients 55-70 years old CABG coronary artery bypass graft surgery

Extended Abstract 1.Introduction According to the World Health Organization (2010), cardiovascular disease (CHD) is the most common cause of death worldwide (1). Sadeghpour et al. (2010) have shown that one of the most common problems after coronary artery bypass grafting is extensive hemodynamic changes. Incomplete drainage of blood and blood fluid from the pericardium and pleura reduces hea...
